Our commitments
Minimal packaging
We have removed all non-essential packaging and have ensured what remains exists solely to protect our products when in transit. Where possible, our packaging materials contain recycled content, and the majority can be subsequently recycled themselves
Local suppliers
We prioritise local suppliers where possible and source our materials and supplies as close to home as we can, to minimise carbon emissions associated with transport and delivery.
Polymer reprocessing
We have invested in a state-of-the-art polymer reprocessing facility at our factory, enabling us to utilise our production scrap in the manufacture our long-life energy and resource saving products. By closing the manufacturing loop in this manner, we can divert materials away from landfill and maximise utilisation of resources.
Continual improvements
We are continuously improving and optimising our manufacturing site and processes, as well as the performance and longevity of the GeoBubble™ covers we produce. We strive for lean and efficient production of performance pool covers, saving both materials and energy.
Promoting Carbon Saving Products
At GeoBubble™ we believe in actively educating the pool industry for positive change. As such we freely share our own product testing studies and regularly publish reports alongside our GeoBlog to help customer’s make informed purchasing decisions and ensure they always get the GeoBubble™ product that will work best for them, to help meet their own sustainability goals. We also provide advice on how to get the best performance and longest possible life from GeoBubble™ covers in different scenarios.

Life Cycle Assessment
To better understand the impact our GeoBubble™ products have on the environment, we began working with a specialist sustainability consultancy company to conduct and publish Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for our core range of GeoBubble™ swimming pool covers. An LCA is a holistic review of the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire lifecycle, from cradle to grave. Our LCAs have been third party verified and we expect to have full accompanying Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) published by the end of 2024.
Our LCA results
Expressed in terms of kgCO2e, the global warming potential (GWP) of 1m2 of each of our GeoBubble™ pool covers was determined by identifying and quantifying the environmental impact of resources consumed. Beginning with extraction of raw materials, the total GWP is calculated and tracked throughout the manufacturing and distribution processes before finally considering how the product is handled at the end of its useful life. This can then be offset by the potential for carbon savings offered by the cover, through the reduction of energy and water consumption achieved by covering a swimming pool with a performance GeoBubble™ pool cover. It was found that GeoBubble™ products can be carbon saving and bring about a net reduction in carbon emissions thanks their extensive lifespans and energy saving properties.
