A Sol+Guard™ 500micron transparent solar pool cover transmits 80% of the sun’s energy through the material to heat the water and basin of the swimming pool. Our own tests in the UK have shown temperature increases of up to 6°C and testimonials from hotter climates estimate gains of up to 8°C versus leaving a pool uncovered, reducing the heating bills up to 70% on average.

Our testing has shown how covering a pool with Sol+Guard™ can make a significant impact on the heating costs associated with running a heated outdoor pool. After 30 days the pool covered with Sol+Guard™ had consumed 50.5KWh of energy, whereas the uncovered pool consumed 393.3KWh. These results represent an energy saving of 87%.
